Mexico GP 2024 presents its Mobility Plan

Mexico GP 2024 presents its Mobility Plan

  • The Mexican Grand Prix does NOT have parking for people attending the event. For this reason, a Remote Transportation service will be available in different areas of the city with units to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, from 07:00 to 23:00 hours.
  • The most recommended means of public transportation are Metro Line 9, Metrobus Line 2 and Trolebus Line 2.

Mexico City, 23 October 2024.– The Mexico City Government will implement a mobility plan so that fans attending the Formula 1 Mexico City Grand Prix 2024 Presented by Heineken can have the best experience upon their arrival at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, for the race that will be held from October 25 to 27.

In order to guarantee mobility in the area surrounding the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, special transportation routes have been programmed to take ticket holders to the event from Remote Transportation stations to the venue, since there will be NO parking. Users of this service will have the option of using the same means of transportation to return to their point of origin.

The Remote Transportation stations will have continuous runs and will be located in the following locations:

  • Estadio Azteca

Calz. de Tlalpan corner with Cto. Azteca (under the bridge)

  • Plaza Carso

Presa Falcón Street, Plaza Carso

  • Auditorio Nacional – Lanzadera Zone

Av. Paseo de la Reforma 50, Polanco (next to P. Campo Marte)

  • Expo México Santa Fe (aside)

Av. Santa Fe and Av. Carlos Lazo

  • Hipódromo de las Américas

Av. del Conscripto, Access bay to Centro Citibanamex

The special service buses will depart to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez and back to the points of origin, between 07:00 and 19:00 hours, with units of the Red de Transporte de Pasajeros (RTP), the Servicio de Transportes Eléctricos (STE) and the Organismo Regulador de Transporte (ORT).

Integrated Mobility Card for payment

*If the person already has an Integrated Mobility Card, they recharge it with the staff of each point.

All routes must be paid for with the Integrated Mobility Card. At the starting points of the Remote Transportation service, there will be someone to sell the card and recharge it.

It is important to note that there will be three arrival points at the Autodromo, via the following buses:

  • Eje 3 Sur Añil (in front of Gate 7 of the Palacio de los Deportes)
  • Viaducto Río Piedad (between Gates 8 and 9 of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez)
  • Eje 4 Oriente (between gates 12 and 13 of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez)

Likewise, there will be a single exit point at Eje 3 Sur Añil, on the corner of Churubusco, where buses will be available to return to the exit points of Remote Transportation, from 15:30 to 19:00 hours.

In addition, to facilitate mobility in the area, free perimeter transportation (RTP, Metrobus and Trolebus) will be provided at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit to bring attendees to their corresponding gate, from 7:00 to 20:00 hrs.

On the other hand, a loading and unloading area will be set up at Gate 6 of the Palacio de los Deportes for transportation by mobile applications. Cab stations will also be set up at Gate 15 of the Autodromo, on Añil Street at the corner of Resina. Their units will be identified with an official event sticker and will be metered, with an initial charge of $13.10 pesos. Additionally, there will be units for people with disabilities on the internal circuit.

For convenience and greater agility, the Mexico City Government promotes the use of the different alternatives offered by the public transportation network among Mexico GP attendees:

  • Metro Line 9 at Velódromo, Ciudad Deportiva and Puebla stations.
  • Metrobus Line 2 at Iztacalco and UPIICSA stations.
  • Trolebús Line 2 at its stations Ciudad Deportiva, Puerta 8, Puebla and Av. Río Churubusco.
  • Bus routes 1, 9, 11, 27, 78, M1 Bicentennial and the Sausa Corridor.

With the support of the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC), a perimeter security belt will be implemented to speed up the usual transportation of the city’s population. To avoid any disruptions, the following alternate routes should be considered:

North:

  • Anillo Periférico Canal de San Juan
  • Eje 2 Oriente H. Congreso de la Unión
  • Calzada de Tlalpan
  • Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas
  • Av. Insurgentes

South:

  • Anillo Periférico Calle 17
  • Eje 1 Oriente Anillo de Circunvalación
  • Calzada de Tlalpan
  • Eje 1 Poniente Cuauhtémoc
  • Av. Insurgentes

East:

  • Eje 3 Norte Ángel Albino Corzo
  • Eje 1 Norte Fuerza Aérea Mexicana
  • Eje 6 Sur Trabajadores Sociales
  • Eje 8 Sur Calzada Ermita Iztapalapa
  • Calzada Taxqueña

West:

  • Av. Pantitlán – Xochimilco
  • Eje 4 Norte Talismán

It is important to highlight that the side of Río Churubusco, near the venue, will be closed and traffic will be in the central lanes.

In addition, we recommend yo to plan your arrival at the event, taking into account the above points. Check here the map of alternatives, stations, transportation and mobility.

Get ready to experience the excitement of the Mexico GP in a weekend full of action and speed!
