• For the Grand Prix’s third edition in our country, winners will receive a 100% Mexican trophy built in silver and obsidian. • TANE, the most important Silversmith House in Mexico, was assigned for designing and manufacturing the race’s trophy. During the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2017TM, the renowned Mexican Silversmith House “TANE” and race’s organizers gather once again, in order to continue honoring Mexico. This way, the trophy won by the champions on the track in our country, will have the mark of that Mexican Brand, who manufactured the piece inspired by a special design since 2015 National Grand Prix edition: an edited and abstract male silhouette to which a strip in National colors was added on its back since 2016. The FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICOTM joined TANE for the third time in a row, for being a leader company in the world, given the artistic value of its work and its long history within silver design in Mexico, one of the most world-renowned National metals thanks to its excellent quality. All the materials used to manufacture the trophy won by drivers such as Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton in the past two race’s recent editions is well endowed with Mexican symbolism and is intrinsically related to our country’s culture and history. For this procedure, obsidian or volcanic glass, which are crucial materials in Mesoamerican culture and rituals, are used to manufacture trophy’s bottom that represents the discipline, preparation and constancy.
