84,976 fans witnessed the first day of track action and activities at the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2018™

• Max Verstappen scores the best time in the two practice sessions.

On the first day of track action at the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE MÉXICO 2018™, the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit recorded an attendance of 84,976 fans for the first two practice sessions. The venue opened its doors at 08:00 this the morning to welcome the fans who were waiting expectantly for the first day of the F1^®ESTA. In addition to the track action, a series of ‘Q&A’ and autograph sessions with personalities from the F1^® community took place for the first time at the Mexican GP. FIA representatives Charlie Whiting, Bernd Maylander and Alan van der Merwe kicked off the first Fan Forum for the Mexican fans. Williams-Martini Racing Reserve & development driver Robert Kubica, Alfa Romeo Sauber Test driver Tatiana Calderón and Scuderia Ferrari’s Team Principal Maurizio Arrivabene took to the stage in front of the enthusiastic fans.
